We find that allot of programs are not thoroughly personalised for the individual to achieve their specific goals. Equine Communications has designed a grading program where you choose your goal. We have found this very successful because it is tailored to suit your needs. You may wish to -

• Compete at show more effectively in a particular couple of events,

• Be more effective with your horse in your manoeuvrers e.g.. lead changes, sliding stops, cutting or camp drafting.

• Do a competitive trail ride. or you may just want to be more together on a trail ride with your friends or

• Train your horse and you are the trainer stage by stage
   

We take your goal and divide it into 3 stages. Each stage is accessed on completion, from there we take each stage at a time and the end of the first stage we will do a grading and when you pass stage one we move onto stage 2 and the same again, once you have completed stage 3 you have achieved your goal. Whilst you are training for the stages you use the DVD or video as your training tool and useful history, to gauge your successes and future challenges. This way there is no pressure and all stages are completed in your own time in your own way for your own goal.

As most of you know Darren Simpson has been researching horse & human behaviour for the past 15 years direct from the University of Life, and, at the same time, developing his own personal style and horse training technique.

There are positive outcomes from using DVD training after starting our education program.  Firstly, you are able to measure your efforts, success and your own development over a period of time as every lesson is dated. Secondly, you are able to honestly look at what needs improvement, as this is true reality TV.  Finally, when you have your next lesson you are very clear about what you would like to work on with your trainer. You are able to work through your own training program more effectively and faster.

For those of you who have had lessons with Darren, a lot of information can be missed while concentrating on all you have to do!  I personally know that during a lesson with Darren, I probably can only absorb a maximum of  5 out of 10 instructions!  However, since recording my lessons on DVD I can confidently say that I have doubled my absorption level of what was taught i.e. 100%.  Therefore I have also been a lot more effective when training by myself and I really look forward to what will be covered in my next lesson with Darren.
